Tom Craine is an award winning writer, presenter and stand-up comedian as seen on shows such as Drunk History (Comedy Central), Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC3), and The Last Leg: Correspondents (Channel 4). His critically acclaimed BBC Radio 4 sitcom “ReincarNathan” will soon return for its third series, having been nominated for Best Scripted Comedy at the BBC Audio Drama Awards, as well as both Best Scripted Storytelling and Funniest Show at the ARIAS.
Tom is a co-creator of the hit panel show “Hypothetical” for DAVE, (nominated for Best Entertainment Show at the Broadcast Awards). He co-wrote three series of the BBC3 sitcom “JOSH”, with Josh Widdicombe, as well as writing and appearing in two series of “Climaxed” for BBC3. Tom also starred in the sketch group “Jigsaw”, appearing in two series of their BBC Radio 4 sketch show, following three consecutive sell out runs at the Edinburgh Festival. Other credits include The Tom Craine Story Show for Radio X, investigative reports for Inside Out (BBC1), and presenting the history documentary Glastonbury: Jesus to Jay-Z for BBC1.
At the Edinburgh Festival Tom has gained countless 4 and 5 star reviews for his stand up shows, being listed in the Top 5 shows at the Fringe by The Times Newspaper, and gaining Critics’ choice in The Guardian, New Statesman, Daily Mail and Independent.
Tom’s writing credits are extensive, including working as a core writer on the BAFTA and Rose d’Or nominated “The Last Leg” (Channel 4), and many other shows, such as “Mock The Week” (BBC2), Unforgivable (DAVE), Stand Up For Cancer (Channel 4), 8 Out Of Ten Cats (Channel 4) and “Have I Got News For You” (BBC1).
